Arroz con Leche
Ingredients:
1/2 cup jasmine rice
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground saigon cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Cook the Rice: In a medium saucepan, combine the jasmine rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer until the rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed, about 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Milk Mixture:
In a small bowl, mix together the milk, sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
Combine and Simmer:
Once the rice is cooked, add the milk mixture to the saucepan with the rice.Increase the heat to medium and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy, about 20-25 minutes. Be careful not to let the mixture boil.
